The are "kracks" in the Kardashian family's formerly impenetrable armor. With Khloe's marriage to NBA'er Lamar Odom seemingly crumbling before her eyes and ours, the family's matriarch, Kris Jenner, has officially split with Bruce Jenner, her husband of 22 years and father of her daughters Kendall and Kylie.

But don't go grabbing the world's smallest violin. Both insist that this is for the best.

"We are living separately and we are much happier this way," the now-former couple told E! "But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority."

There were rumors of a split circulating for a several months, with neither Kris, 57, nor Bruce, 63, commenting, as she focused on her now-canceled talk show and the birth of granddaughter North West.

Both Kris and Bruce each have four kids from previous marriages.

Last November, Kris said she and her husband laughed off split rumors. This April, she even posted a pic on Instagram about their anniversary and said she was looking forward to another 22 years of wedded bliss.

She wrote: "Happy Anniversary Bruce!!!! Best 22 years I could ever have imagined...hope the next 22 is even more fabulous...I love you!"

In light of this news, her message feels very sad.

The plot thickens, as Kris was seen out and about with Jason Trawick. Recognize that name? He's Britney Spears' ex-fiance. Before you label Jenner a cougar, realize Trawick is a Hollywood agent and this could have been a business sitch.

The burning question on our minds? Will Kris resume using her former married name? Will she go back to Kris Kardashian?
