Lady Gaga’s ‘A Very Gaga Thanksgiving’ to Air on Thanksgiving Night
After you've stuffed yourself stiff with turkey, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie, you can settle into the couch and enjoy a 90-minute Lady Gaga special, dubbed 'A Very Gaga Thanksgiving.' Invite the Mother Monster into your home to entertain you after you've eaten. The special airs Thanksgiving night, Nov. 24, at 9:30 PM ET on ABC. PopCrush is more psyched about this event than the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!
According to PEOPLE, the special was directed by Gaga herself. She's racking up the directorial credits as of late, as she just revealed that she also directed the soon-to-air 'Marry the Night' video.
The special promises to offer an private peek into Gaga's personal life. The entertainer will engage in a chat with ABC's Katie Couric during the event. The interview is said to take place at Sacred Heart Catholic School in New York City, since that's where Gaga was educated!
Gaga will also perform eight songs, among them 'Marry the Night,' 'Yoü And I,' 'The Edge of Glory,' 'White Christmas' and 'The Lady Is a Tramp,' her duet with Tony Bennett. She will a mix of hits and holiday fare in front of her friends and family! So we'll get a some face time with Cynthia, Joe and Natali Germanotta, too!
But perhaps even better than the interview and performance is the fact that Gaga will be showing off her culinary skills. She will prepare a meal of deep-fried turkey and waffles with an assist from chef Art Smith. Mmm. Is your mouth watering at the thought? It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without some quality eats, and Gaga and her family know a thing or two about food, as her dad is planning to open an Manhattan eatery later this month.
"We all know Lady Gaga is a phenomenon. This is a chance to see more of who she is beneath the wild costumes and staged musical numbers," said Couric. "She will impress you, delight you and surprise you."
Oh Katie, Gaga always impresses, delights and surprises us. We are never bored by Gaga and we will certainly be watching this special come Thanksgiving night!
