'American Idol' alum Lauren Alaina can add another item to her growing list of accomplishments: Switch-flipper. The country cutie has been tipped to "flip the switch" at Elvis Presley's Graceland home in Memphis, Tenn., powering up the historic estate's over-the-top Christmas display and officially ringing in the holiday season on Nov. 18.

The elaborate Yuletide decorations includes, according to the press release, "hundreds of blue lights along the driveway, a life-size Nativity scene, Santa and his sleigh, and much more," and the honor of turning on electricity to the display is traditionally given to a different musical star each year. (In 2010, 'Idol' vet Lee DeWyze flipped the switch.)

It's still a month out, but we bet Alaina is already looking forward to the event — as will be one very fortunate sweepstakes entrant, who will win a trip to Memphis to hang out with Alaina at the ceremony and a spot guest-DJing on Sirius XM's Elvis Radio channel. (Head over to CMT for a chance to win.)

If you can't be there in person to get a jump start on Christmas with Alaina, the event will be streaming live via GracelandCam (who knew?) at Elvis.com. Count us in!
