'American Idol' Season 10 runner-up Lauren Alaina made her return to the 'Idol' stage last night (March 8, 2012), performing her rocking country single 'Georgia Peaches.' While Alaina was overjoyed about returning to the show that made her famous, she was even more excited about a collaboration that she announced post-performance.
The girl who fell just short of being an 'American Idol' last year returned to the 'Idol' stage tonight to show the nation what they missed out on -- not to say that Lauren Alaina hasn't been on her grind in the past year. She strutted her stuff in front of the judges while performing 2011's hit 'Georgia Peaches,' and got a standing ovation.
Lauren Alaina Shares Favorite Christmas Memory
From one 'American Idol' contestant to another! Country cutie Lauren Alaina performed 'My Grown Up Christmas' by 'American Idol' Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson on the 'CMA Country Christmas' special tonight. It was a fitting choice for Alaina, since it feels like she has grown up right before our very eyes in the past year. The Georgia peach has come along way from performing a capella before the judge's table.
It's safe to say none of last season's 'American Idol' contestants are thankful for video cameras this year. Only hours after victor and pal Scotty McCreery got busted forgetting to really sing at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, runner up Lauren Alaina got busted forgetting the lyrics to the national anthem.
