EARLIER: Mac Miller has died at 26 of an apparent overdose, TMZ reports.

According to the outletthe rapper was found Friday (Sept. 7) at his San Fernando Valley home and pronounced dead the scene. No further details are available at this time.

Miller was charged with a DUI in May after crashing his car into a pole in Los Angeles. Shortly after the crash, his ex-girlfriend, Ariana Grande, tweeted about their "toxic" relationship, writing she had "tried to support his sobriety" and "prayed for his balance for years."

Miller, who released his latest album, Swimming, in August, also opened up about his struggles with substance abuse in a recent profile for Vulture.

"I used to rap super openly about really dark s--t,” he said, “because that’s what I was experiencing at the time. That’s fine, that’s good, that’s life. It should be all the emotions.

Miller was set to embark on a cross-country tour in support of Swimming in late October.
