If you were hoping to see Mariah Carey make an appearance on American Idol again before the series finale, then you'll have to splice together footage of her past stint on the show with clips of new episodes as they air, because she'll never set foot in that studio again.

According to a recent radio interview she did, the "Heartbreaker" singer admits her experience on the show was, well, terrible -- and that's being generous. When the hosts asked if there was a chance fans would see her during the final season of Idol, she replied with a vehement "Hell no!"

Mariah continued, "Absolutely not, that was the worst experience of my life. I'm not going to get into what it was but let's just say I don't think they had any intentions of establishing a good experience during that show. Pinning two females against each other wasn't cool. It should've been about the contestants and not about some nonexistent feud that turned into even more ridiculousness. I would never want to be involved with it again, but everybody else can like it!"

She went on to talk about how forced her comments to the contestants were at times, saying, "It's so boring and so fake. I'm sorry. When I say it's fake, it's just, you have to make up things to say. Half the time the performances are good, just be like it's good. Just ending it there, it was really good." Don't hold back, Mariah!

In lighter Mimi news, it looks like she'll be re-releasing her Christmas album later this year. Considering her hand in producing one of the greatest Christmas songs of the modern era — the iconic "All I Want for Christmas Is You" — we don't think there's a sufficiently over-the-top way to truly express our excitement about this news.

You can listen to Mariah openly lambasting American Idol in the clip above.
