Canadian crooner Michael Buble will take his holiday album one step further with his first-ever network TV variety special, which will air on NBC in December. It's the perfect vehicle to promote his newest collection of yuletide cheer and Christmas carols.

Billboard reports that the special will be one hour. The air date has yet to be confirmed, but it is expected to include holiday songs and sketch comedy segments. In case you are not familiar with Buble before he became famous as a singer, he was actually a comedian. He often banters hilariously with fans during his concerts, so this special will mix both facets of the 'Haven't Met You Yet' singer's winning personality.

The release date for Buble's holiday set has not yet been announced. His label has not issued any key details about the project, either. All that we know is he recorded a version of 'White Christmas' with his fellow Canadian, Shania Twain, and that he reworked Mariah Carey's modern classic 'All I Want For Christmas Is You,' which, for the record, we are dying to hear.

This isn't the singer's first time celebrating Xmas on record; he actually issued the 'Let It Snow' EP back in 2003. However, the 2011 holiday season is shaping up to be filled with Michael Buble.
