Miley Cyrus got people talking when she sent her 2014 MTV VMAs date -- Jesse Helt, a young homeless man -- to accept her Video of the Year accolade. Only days after the awards ceremony, news broke that he is a wanted man.

E! News reports that there is a warrant out for the arrest of Jesse, for violation of probation, stemming from previous charges including criminal trespassing and criminal mischief.

"He still has an outstanding warrant. If he's contacted by the police in Oregon he would be arrested," local Judicial Services Specialist Jon Troike told the Sun (quote via Daily Mail).

According to E!, Jesse was previously charged with burglary after a 2010 incident in which he reportedly tried to break into an apartment.

Things aren't looking good for Jesse, who allegedly violated his probation on numerous occasions, including failing to report to his probation officer or take a drug test, breaking his curfew and not completing his community service.

While Miley has not directly commented about the situation, around the time the news broke, she tweeted the following messages:
