Every high school has a group of kids that push the envelope, revealing their talents and passion while setting the standards (very high) for everyone else. You look up to them, and are in awe of their hard dedication and work. Well, the pop world is no different, with artists like Adam Lambert, Beyonce, Demi Lovato and many more doing just the same.

Some of the singers listed here are known for overcoming tremendous challenges, instilling their lyrics with personal experiences and openly discussing these issues with their fans. Demi Lovato has spent the last several years sharing stories of her struggles with bipolar disorder and depression, while Adam Lambert and Frank Ocean dealt with coming out in the public eye.

Eminem's '8 Mile' story gets us every time (we have goosebumps just thinking about it), while Justin Bieber preached to 'Never Say Never,' showing a love for the stage as early as 2 years old. Jennifer Hudson not only won Season 4 of 'American Idol' but then followed that with an Academy Award for her supporting role in 'Dreamgirls.' The now svelte singer also proved to us that she can survive the unthinkable (losing her mother, brother and nephew in a shooting).

Jason Derulo didn't let a broken neck stop him from doing what he loves, Kelly Clarkson set the bar for all future 'American Idol' winners and encourages her fans to stay "strong," and gay rights activist Macklemore also proved that you can make it big without the help of a major label.

Pink, Beyonce and her hubby Jay-Z have all been able to pump out new and inspirational music for 10-plus years and still be current and on top of the charts (not even letting marriage and kids gets in the way), while Jessie J, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga continue to write inspirational lyrics and connect with their fans. (We could write an entire post just on how Gaga created a little monsters army to fight bullying!)

And then there's Taylor Swift. As much as we want to deny it, she continually writes the best breakup and love songs that get us to say, "How did she know we were experiencing these same feelings too?"

All of these artists are really worthy of the title, but who do you think is deserves to be crowned the Most Inspirational? Be sure to vote in the poll below; you can vote once per hour, and the poll is set to close on Friday, June 21 at 12PM ET.
