Nelly Furtado debuted a new track at Thursday night's concert at the Sayers Club in Hollywood, treating a small group of fans to the first live performance of 'Parking Lot,' a vibrant song from her next album, 'The Spirit Indestructible.'

As revealed in the footage captured by Rap-up TV, the live version of 'Parking Lot' had a nice groove punctuated by strong drums, sing-along chants, and possibly even a cowbell in the background. We like it even more than the two official singles we've heard so far from the album so far -- the title track and 'Big Hoops.'

Furtado's vocals drifted into sing-rap territory throughout the performance. "I'm telling all my friends that it's pretty casual," she declared at one point. "Here's the part where we dance," she instructed as the song drew to a close. Hopefully the studio recording of the tune, produced by hitmaker Rodney Jerkins, will live up to the promise of this debut.

Furtado also performed a cover of the Calvin Harris track 'Feel So Close,' turning the dance hit into a sweetly romantic ballad and giving its hook, "There's no stopping us right now" a completely different meaning.

The Canadian singer does not currently have any other tour dates lined up, aside from a couple of September dates in Asia and an appearance on 'Live with Kelly.' Her album is schedule to arrive on Sept. 11.
