Oprah Is Not Blue Ivy’s Godmother

Oprah Winfrey may have everything, but Blue Ivy as a goddaughter is not one of them. The mogul's best friend, Gayle King, squashed the rumors that the Big O was the chosen one for baby Blue.

Initial reports stated that proud parents Beyonce and Jay-Z wanted godparents outside of their close circle of blood relatives. While they may be true, it's not Winfrey taking the honors.

Radar Online reports that King told the CBS Morning Show, “It’s absolutely not true that she’s the godmother.” King revealed that Winfrey hasn't even sent the couple a gift yet! But don't fret -- it's not because they're not pals. “She's friends with them, of course, and likes them both very much," King assured. "She's working on sending them a baby gift. She hasn't even had time to send a baby gift because she's been away."

As for whether Jay-Z’s best friend Tyran “Ty Ty” Sith is actually Blue's godfather, that hasn't been confirmed nor denied yet -- so we don't know who the lucky guy is, either.

Blue Ivy is beautiful, sleeps in a $3,500 crib and has both her own lullaby and Billboard chart record. Her parents are one of the richest couples in Hollywood. We think baby Blue will be just fine, regardless of who is lucky enough to be named her godparents.
