Phillip Phillips, who expresses himself with his hands when he talks, spoke about a lot of hypotheticals during two separate interviews.

He was asked how the former 'American Idol' judges impacted his big win during Season 11 and how the new-look panel of judges might have received or perceived him has he auditoned a year later. He also shared how he came up with the quirky album title 'The World From the Side of the Moon' in a different interview.

"I don't know how well I would have done," Phillips said, music about his fate had there been different judges. "I had Steven Tyler, who's a rocker, and an amazing guy. Jennifer [Lopez], she is amazing. They all kinda got me more."

He got philosophical, though, saying, "This season, they may have gotten me? Hopefully Keith Urban [would have]. He is an amazing musician. I am curious to see how Mariah [Carey] and Nicki [Minaj] are going to judge."

In the other interview, he was asked about his album title, 'The World From the Side of the Moon,' which isn't as weird as people are making it out to be.

He joked that the eastern side of the moon is referenced in the title. "Well, I was going through lyrics to songs that would be on the album and songs that weren't and I was trying to think of a title that would stick," he said. "It's from the first song on the album. I tried to think, 'How could this work?' Just thinking … watched a lot of tape about what's gone on this past year. It was funny how I had grown as a person and an artist, watching myself from a different world, a different angle."

It also comes from the song 'Man on the Moon,' which is the album's first track.
