Pia Toscano may not have won big on 'American Idol' this season, but the 22-year-old New Yorker is slated for a big year in 2011 anyway, with a record deal and new album in the works.

While 'AI' viewers are still be weeping over the loss of Toscano, who was unexpectedly sent home on Thursday, the emerging singer is already moving onto bigger things. Within a few short days, Toscano has allegedly signed with Interscope Records and is rushing a debut album.

"Pia is being signed to a deal with Interscope Records who are rushing her into the studio to record an album ASAP," an insider tells Us Magazine. "Starting [Thursday] night after the show, Interscope told her they wanted her and first thing [Friday] morning Interscope brass started calling every top songwriter and producer in town to get an album together and rush release it."

By the time the judge/fan favorite walked off the stage Thursday night, Interscope was already throwing the pen at her to get ink on a recording contract. "Papers are being finalized. It's basically a done deal. She's signing," the source says. "They rushed everything but she's so excited."

We're just as excited as she is! "You don't know for sure why things happen, but you know, it did!" she told reporters on Friday, adding, "It was my time to go on the show and I'm excited to see what my future holds."

We already know what her future holds -- look for Pia Toscano's debut album in 2011, thanks to Interscope Records.
