Rihanna Fashion ‘RIHtrospective’ Launching at Opening Ceremony in New York

Rihanna has become such a fashion icon. The ELLE UK cover girl is launching her first collection for River Island and in honor of her design debut, Opening Ceremony's flagship NYC store has launched the 'RIHtrospective,' an exhibit that will showcase both her stage and red carpet looks.

The seven-outfit display is meant to highlight Rihanna's diversity. Her stylist Mel Ottenberg pointed out that RiRi can be "really pulled together or grungy for performances." One thing is certain – Rihanna always looks sexified whether she's in leather or in lace, in pink or in black or in red. The girl just oozes sex.

Seven is RiRi's lucky number – with her 777 World Tour and 'Unapologetic' being her seventh album -- so that's why that many looks are spotlighted. She helped to choose the seven pieces to be put on display. We dunno how she was able to narrow it down, since she has so many memorable outfits in her repertoire. The exhibit will be open for three weeks, so if you are in NYC, hit up Opening Ceremony to gawk at some of Rihanna's best looks.

One of the looks that will be included in the 'RIHtrospective' is the pink lace number she wore to the 2012 Victoria Secret fashion show. It was designed by Adam Selman and is pictured above. She makes leisurewear look good.
