Robert Pattinson has pretty much got it made. At only 25 years old, the actor who became famous for portraying dreamy vampire Edward Cullen in the 'Twilight' series has millions of adoring fans all over the world. Now, he might be expanding his fanbase even further, since reports are surfacing that the actor is now turning his attention towards a career in music. Twihards, try not to swoon.

Us Weekly spoke to two sources who confirmed that R. Patz is currently recording an album. "Rob has been kicking a few original songs around for a long time, but his schedule didn't allow it," one source told the Us Weekly."Now he's got some weeks to get everything in line before going back to promoting 'Breaking Dawn.'"

It is no secret that the actor is also a musician. Pattinson recorded two songs for the original 'Twilight' soundtrack -- 'Never Think' and 'Let Me Sign' -- and has also performed small gigs throughout the world, playing original songs like 'It's All on You.'

Apparently, Pattinson's upcoming record will lean more towards the mellow, indie rock realm. "The album Rob will make will be guitar-based and drums, very organic-sounding, nothing pop," a second sources tells Us Weekly. "Like stripped-down Ray LaMontagne meets Van Morrison." The first source also said that Pattinson has been "studying on on other instruments -- like piano and horns."

The second source went on to explain that Pattinson might be famous for his acting chops, but that music will always be first and foremost passion. "Music is his first love! He's tortured because he avoids it. When he's sitting around jamming in the studio, it's his favorite moment of life," the insider said.

Pattinson's 'Twilight' co-star Jackson Rathbone, who plays Jasper in the film series, is also a musician. Rathbone said that during film breaks, he and Pattinson would often jam together, and that Robert "loves to play the blues." Rathbone continued, "He can hold his own on a guitar. We enjoyed jamming together when we had the time. Very humble and quiet guy."

Update: A rep for Robert Pattinson is denying the rumors that he is currently working on a solo album. "The report is untrue. He is not working on an album right now," the representative told MTV News.
