Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina Give Fans a ‘Day in the Life’ Tour; Perform on ‘CMA Music Festival’ Special

'American Idol' sweethearts Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina gave fans a 'day-in-the-life' look at their busy lives during Sunday night's CMA Music Festival on ABC. The behind-the-scenes montage showed the two young country singers meeting and greeting fans, napping and playing in a charity softball game together. We have to mention that while Scotty may have won first prize in the Idol competition, Miss Alaina surely showed him up on the softball diamond!

The cameras were also rolling as Alaina and McCreery approached Nashville's LP Field, the venue where the CMA Music Festival was filmed earlier this summer. The two marveled at the size of the stadium (it seats almost 70,000), with Alaina remarking, "My whole town would fit in that stadium."

Lauren Alaina shared an emotional moment with Martina McBride singing the country star's hit 'Anyway.' Alaina looked visibly nervous wearing a white gauze dress paired with brown cowboy (or rather cowgirl) boots and a brown belt as she mouthed "Oh my gosh" to the crowd.

Finally, Scotty McCreery joined fellow deep-voiced country singer Josh Turner in a buddy-buddy performance of Turner's song 'Your Man.' The 'American Idol' winner looked much more comfortable in front of the crowd than Alaina as he strutted across the stage wearing a blue crew-neck tee and a pair of blue jeans, topped off with a small wooden cross. The two finished up their performance with a big ol' bro-embrace. Judging from his performance tonight -- not that we needed reminding -- we'd say big things are in store for Mr. McCreery!
