'American Idol' winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina insist they aren't dating. We get it. But really, they should be. Rolling Stone recently relayed Twitter questions for the teenage pair, and asked what they seek out in an ideal mate -- and their answers weren't so surprising.

"So you want me to describe my ideal guy? I would say … Okay, so he has to be taller than me, have nice muscles, love Jesus, and athletic," Alaina says of her dream guy. "And blue eyes!" Taller? Check. Nice muscles? Maybe. Love Jesus? You know it. Athletic -- like play baseball? Check and check. And blue eyes? Come on! That sure does sound like somebody we know...

As for Scotty, his answer was a little more fluid. "One, I'd like her to be a Christian. Two, musically or athletically inclined in some way or another," he says. "If not, it's okay. Three, just a cool, down-to-earth person. I mean, not too glamorous. If you wear sweatpants and a t-shirt that's fine with me. That's my ideal woman, I guess."

While we think the adorable 'Idol' duo are perfectly matched for one another, they didn't offer any notion that they are dating when asked about each other specifically. "The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Scotty…" Alaina starts. "I think that Scotty is a really good guy. He loves Jesus and he is super talented and I'm so happy for him."

Naturally, he echoed her praises ... Sort of. "That would have to be that she's a character. She's one-of-a-kind," he tells Rolling Stone. "There is nobody else out there like her, I can promise you that." Sounds like she's a real prize catch! Might we make a suggestion?

Anyhow, while we wait for the two obvious love birds to admit defeat, we'll also be on pins and needles in anticipation for their debut albums, both of which will be country, unfortunately. "My album is going to be country but if it crosses over that would be terrific," Alaina says.

In any case, we can't wait to hear what's next from these two!
