We all know that Selena Gomez loves Nicki Minaj, since the teen pop queen has covered the rapper's song 'Super Bass' on more than one occasion, including live in concert. Now, Gomez is paying tribute to the Harajuku Barbie once again in a promo for the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards.

In the EMA promotional video, Gomez, who is hosting the 2011 MTV EMAs, is pictured sitting in a completely pink room, a la Ms. Minaj's 'Pink Friday' album. As she sits at her vanity and gazes into the mirror (which also reminds of Nicki's 'Moment 4 Life' video), a ghetto-fab version of Gomez appears.

The chic version of Gomez looks surprised as her alter ego begins rapping to a beat that kind of sounds like Minaj's hit 'Super Bass.' Gomez channels her inner gangster, wearing a flannel shirt, bra, bandana, and baggy jeans as she raps, "Who else better than me to be hosting the show? / People know who da eff I is / I'm a pro / The right time and place for me to be / Yeah I'll say it, 'Congratulations to me.'"

The 19-year-old makes quite a convincing rapper -- maybe she got some tips from Justin Bieber's former swagger coach for the video?

The 2011 MTV EMAs will take place on Nov. 6 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Stay tuned with PopCrush for more coverage on the upcoming award show, where Lady Gaga is up for six awards and stars like LMFAO and Coldplay are set to perform.
