Simon Cowell is not satisfied with having helped discover huge pop stars like Kelly Clarkson. The former 'American Idol' judge and current 'X Factor' guru, whose protégé Melanie Amaro won the whole shebang, is shifting his attention and talent-finding GPS to the electronic music scene.

Cowell hopes to find the world's best DJ via a new reality competition show. These shows are in Cowell's wheelhouse, and he's mining the dance scene in 2012.

Cowell issued a tweet on the matter, revealing that his role will be behind-the-scenes and that he won't be a judge. He posted: "Excited to announce new DJ show. I will NOT be judging this show. Excited to be working with @jadapsmith . Stay tuned!

He is working with Jada Pinkett Smith on the endeavor and together, they will develop the live, international show. The broadcast partner and further details are not yet known.

"We have been working on this show for over a year and we wanted to partner with the right people," says Cowell in a statement. "DJ's are the new rock stars, it feels like the right time to make this show." Pinkett-Smith, who fronted her own band in the '00s, commented, "This show will comb the world to find a new breed of talent."

Well, the DJ scene is hot right now, so they are creating this show at just the right time. Will you be watching?
