SXSW 2013: August Alsina Shares His Top 5 ‘Can’t Miss’ Acts
August Alsina could be the next big thing to hit R&B in 2013, just ask our friends at TheDrop.fm. The New Orleans native has been making waves in the urban community ever since he piqued The-Dream‘s interest with his song covers on YouTube.
Since then he’s scored a contract with Def Jam and is set to take over the world starting with his track, ‘I Luv This S—’ which features label mate, Trinidad James. August told us they’ve never performed his new track live, so you’ll definitely want to catch his performance with Trinidad James to witness it’s live premiere! You certainly won’t want to miss any of his three performances if you’re at SXSW this week!

I’m looking forward to watching Trinidad do his thing. We’re on a couple of shows together, so we may get a chance to rock the new single 'I Luv This S---' for the first time live at SXSW.

Me and the homie Problem did some radio promo together last summer and we've been cool ever since. I just did a hook for him so we got some s--- dropping soon. Definitely gonna support him and all my underground n---as performing at SXSW.
