"Someone's gonna get hurt," Skylar Grey sings in the hook to 'Final Warning,' off of her upcoming record 'Don't Look Down.' The lyric is followed immediately by a "Na na na na na na na na na" refrain and a smug "And it's not gonna be me," letting the listener know first thing that the song is unsettling, disturbing, twisted -- and quite good.
Sci-fi thriller 'The Host' is shaping up to be a big movie with an even bigger soundtrack. The film adaptation of Stephanie Meyers' (yes, the 'Twilight' author) novel will hit theaters on March 29 and it's musical accompaniment, which was produced by Alex da Kid and Meyers, is boasting some big names.
It's odd that a three-time Grammy nominee could still be under the radar, but that's the case for Skylar Grey, who will finally see the release of her long-delayed album in 2013 after years of songwriting and guest verse contributions for other artists.
Skylar Grey is the queen of the trailer park in her new Eminem-assisted video 'C'mon Let Me Ride,' which features the singer-songwriter portraying a flannel-wearing hellraiser, an evil plastic surgeon, and a polka-dot-loving girl apparently modeled after Katy Perry.
Skylar Grey, who has reinvented herself as a sexified nymph after going the goth route a few years back, shared not one, but two behind-the-scenes clips from the trailer park locale of her upcoming video for 'C'Mon Let Me Ride,' which features Eminem. In them, she talks about her recent image change.

Anyone remember Holly Brook (the "Hafermann" was silent)? The angelic-voiced chanteuse who sang the hook on Fort Minor's 'Where'd You Go' and released an underrated, underappreciated album called 'Like Blood Like Honey?' No? Hm.
Then maybe you remember the ever-so-slightly gothic Skylar Grey, who sang the hook on Dr. Dre's 'I Need a Doctor,' co-wrote Eminem and Rihanna's Grammy winning 'Love the Way You Lie' and Diddy Dirty Money's 'Coming Home.' She was pretty cool, right? Then ... something happened.
Remember Skylar Grey? She co-wrote Eminem's 'Love the Way You Lie' and was preparing to release her own album 'Invinsible' last year? Then she sorta just…disappeared. Well, she is back and fully reinvented, trading her black-haired, lipstick-smeared gothy glam for dirty girl, biker chick chic. At least that's how she looks on the cover of her new single 'C'Mon Let Me Ride,' which features her old pal Em.

Eminem is repaying Skylar Grey for co-writing his smash hit 'Love the Way You Lie' by executive-producing her new album and singing — yes, singing — the hook of Queen's 'Bicycle Race' on Grey's new single. Eminem playing the role of Freddie Mercury? We can't wait to hear this.
Colton Dixon continued what Randy Jackson referred to as “one of the hottest shows yet” with a delightfully Colton-esque performance of Skylar Grey’s ‘Love the Way You Lie’ on 'American Idol.' And it’s no lie to say the judges ate it up.
