Taylor Swift is always the do-gooder. The singer never misses the opportunity to visit with her sick and less fortunate fans. Swift managed to carve time out of her schedule to stop by Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles to meet with the family of Lauren Murphy, a young woman who was hit by a car while on an early morning run in Hollywood on April 19.

Murphy, a lovely Midwestern blonde, had an emergency lobectomy to remove a portion of her left frontal lobe and to remove a piece of her skull so that pressure could be relieved. Needless to say, her status is extremely critical but stable.

Her family and friends were surprised by the visit from Swift.

One of Murphy's pals even claimed that she is "going to be so mad that she was not awake" to meet Swift. How nice of T. Swizzle to bring her sunny smile and good cheer to a family that is desperately waiting for one of its members to get better. When Murphy is fully recovered, Swift will to invite her to one her concerts or performances.

A fund has been set up to help offset some of Murphy's medical costs.
