Let's put it plainly: There's a reason Taylor Swift has seven Grammy Awards and one of the most sought-after concert series in the world.

Since the release of Swift's eponymous 2006 debut album, and across four LPs since, she's demonstrated a knack for writing catchy hooks, talent for dreaming up nostalgic guitar ballads and the ability to shift gears in keeping with contemporary pop currents. Still, she's more than a songwriter, and has proven her voice is just as powerful as the messages it conveys.

Above, we've collected what we've identified as Taylor Swift's best live vocals, from as far back as "Back to December" to as recently as "We Are Never Getting Back Together." Whether she's comfortably perched behind a five-string, splitting the stage with guests (hey, Ed Sheeran and The Civil Wars!) or standing alone with only a microphone as accompaniment, she whispers, harmonizes and belts with the best of 'em. No wonder half of the industry was eager to join her for group numbers in recent months.

After a year that found the pop-heavy 1989 effectively ruling Billboard charts, it's anyone's guess where Taylor's next project will take her. But as long as she sticks to her guns, writes what she believes and delivers each message sincerely, we have a feeling we'll be seeing her again very soon.
