'The Fault in Our Stars' was a bestselling novel and it looks like the movie will be just as big, if not bigger.

The upcoming film adaptation of the John Green book has already set a record on Fandango for biggest pre-selling romantic drama ever, reports Variety. The previous record holder was 2012's 'The Vow' starring Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams.

One caveat, according to the trade, is that films like 'Twilight' haven't been factored into the same category as film like 'The Fault in Our Stars' and 'The Vow' since the ticketing agency considers them fantasy romances instead.

Needless to say, however, there are many fans of the book and who are likely eager to watch the movie starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort. The romantic story tells of Augustus (Elgort) and Hazel (Woodley), two teens who meet at a cancer support group. Augustus is a cancer survivor while Hazel's condition is terminal. While in the process of falling in love, Augustus sets out to grant Hazel's wish of meeting her favorite author in Amsterdam before it's too late.

'The Fault in Our Stars' opens this Friday, June 6.
