After Whitney Houston was honored at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday (May 20), Ryan Seacrest premiered on his radio show Monday (May 21) the pop icon's last song she recorded before her untimely death. The song is titled 'Celebrate' and it features Jordin Sparks.

The R. Kelly-produced ballad is for the movie 'Sparkle,' which opens in theaters on Aug. 17, and has all the hallmarks of a Houston classic. On the track, Houston and Sparks sing about celebrating life and encouraging everyone to disregard the obstacles that keeps holding you down.

"Everybody been so uptight / And forgetting to live life / Letting all the problems get them down / till it makes you want to shout," sings Houston on the melodic song. Sparks follows and sings, "See everybody is down on luck / Now finally things are looking up / The sun has chase the rain away / It's time to celebrate."

'Celebrate' is a sunshine-y ballad that is perfect for summer and should do well on radio. It's a shining example of how Houston could lift your spirits up with her angelic voice.

We can't wait to hear more songs from the 'Sparkle' soundtrack, which will hit stores this summer.
