Whoopi Goldberg, star of the daytime gab fest 'The View,' will head to prime time with a guest-starring role on 'Glee.' What's Whoopi gonna do? Well, it turns out, her character will be entrenched in a major plot point.

Goldberg is set to star as Carmen Tibideaux, "a theatrical grande dame and a professor at New York Academy of the Dramatic Arts (NYADA)," according to TV Line. Tibideaux will head to Ohio to watch both Kurt's and Rachel's auditions. She is slated to appear in three episodes, with the first airing on May 1.

The season finale of 'Glee' is scheduled for May 22, so Goldberg will be able to strut herself for the final month of Season 3.

TV Line also noted that Goldberg, who is based in New York, is afraid to fly, something that is well-known. Since 'Glee' shoots in Los Angeles, she is really making a personal sacrifice to be a part of the show.

We're sure she'll rock it as Carmen Tibideaux. This season has been pretty light with big name, A-list guest stars, but that all just changed with the temporary addition of Whoopi Goldberg to the cast.
