Farmington, Conn., may not seem like a natural place for a rapper who grew up in the streets of Queens to reside. And maybe that's the point.

After all, when you start dealing drugs as a preteen and survive getting shot nine times, as Curtis Jackson (aka 50 Cent) did, you may decide that getting away from big city life is the way to go.

In 2004, after 50 Cent blew up ‘In Da Club,’ he purchased Mike Tyson’s 18-acre compound. Fifty remained at the 48,000-square foot mansion as his career continued to grow with hits like 'Candy Shop' and 'Ayo Technology' and a starring role in his own biographical film, 'Get Rich or Die Tryin.'

50 Cent put the Connecticut residence on the market a few years back, but he’s had trouble securing a buyer, despite the house's private movie theater, tennis courts and 19 bedrooms.
