African-born actor Djimon Hounsou has been widely praised for his roles in films like 1997's 'Amistad' and 2006's 'Blood Diamond,' receiving Oscar and SAG nominations as well as NAACP Image awards. However, prior to his serious cinematic roles, Hounsou was pretty much a late '80s/early '90s video god.

The actor, who was much more famous for his good looks, rockin' bod and graceful movements back in the day, had small cameos in videos like Paula Abdul's 'Straight Up' and Madonna's 'Express Yourself' before he scored a role in C&C Music Factory's 'Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)' video. The result is completely random, unadulterated '90s gold, as Hounsou breaks it down with a bike tire and stares down the camera while holding a baby.

Like our previous cameo queen Jennifer Lopez, Hounsou also danced in a Janet Jackson video ('Love Will Never Do Without You'), but didn't get to portray her love interest. That privilege went to Antonio Sabàto, Jr.
