Summer Fan Showdown is a month-long competition on PopCrush to determine this summer's most dedicated fan base.

The first round of Summer Fan Showdown is over, and yes, the competition is heating up: BIGBANG's VIP pulled away from Fifth Harmony's Harmonizers with over 74.17% of the vote, while Girls' Generation's SONEs left Taylor Swift's Swifties in the dust with over 56.94% of the vote. But who moves on next?

Girls' Generation, one of K-Pop's most enduring second generation girl groups. While the troupe hasn't put out anything as a group in some time, almost all of the girls have all found solo success in the meantime, from Jessica to Tiffany to Taeyeon. With their 10th anniversary on the way, GG are ready to make 2017 their best year yet. But will their Sones help them stay afloat in the Showdown?

And then there's BIGBANG: the long-running 5-piece boy band, which first debuted in 2006, have since gone on to become one of South Korea's defining pop acts. After performing their Big Bang The Concert: 0.To.10 Final In Seoul encore shows at the top of 2017 to wrap up their 10th anniversary activities, the troupe is currently down one member as T.O.P.'s required military enlistment begins — but they're still touring Japan, anyway. Will the V.I.P. keep the BIGBANG boys moving on to the semi-final round of the Showdown?

The battle starts now: place your vote between BIGBANG and Girls' Generation. This round ends on June 16 at midnight.

This round is now closed. Vote in the semi-finals!
