Jay-Z has just released a new line of T-shirts in support of the Occupy Wall Street movement on Nov. 11 through this Rocawear clothing label. The rap mogul was spotted wearing the tee backstage at his 'Watch the Throne' concert in New York this past week.

The all-black T-shirt alters the phrase "Occupy Wall Street" by crossing out the "W" and adding an "S" to read "Occupy All Streets." Hip-hop impresario Russell Simmons, who has been a big supporter of the Occupy movement, raved about the t-shirts on his Twitter page. "Love Jay-Z’s t-shirt,” he tweeted. “Glad i got mine today.”

However, the Business Insider pointed out the irony of the T-shirt line in that none of the profits from the sale of the tee will go to the Occupy protesters. A Rocawear spokesperson told the website, "The 'Occupy All Streets' T-shirt was created in support of the 'Occupy Wall Street' movement. Rocawear strongly encourages all forms of constructive expression, whether it be artistic, political or social. 'Occupy All Streets' is our way of reminding people that there is change to be made everywhere, not just on Wall Street. At this time we have not made an official commitment to monetarily support the movement."

Clearly, Jay-Z is among the 1 percent and profiting off a movement that are protesting against corporate greed may not sit well with socially-conscious rap fans. However, let's hope that these tees help bring awareness to the plight of the 99 percenters.

The "Occupy All Streets" T-shirts cost $22 and are available at Rocawear.com.
