When Girls' Generation's label S.M. Entertainment announced that they'd be parting ways with beloved member Jessica Jung last summer, the news did not go over too well with fans of the group. But according to insiders, Jessica was already privately planning to go on hiatus from the group before the surprise announcement in order to pursue her solo passions, anyway.

Regardless! Jessica's been doing just doing fine on her own since then — and as it turns out, she's got a solo album on the way.

Yesterday, at the opening of Valentino's new flagship store at the Marina Bay Sands Shoppes in Singapore, Jessica spoke (very) briefly (in English!) about her progress on her solo LP. "There's going to be a lot of different styles," she said of the upcoming music, explaining that she's personally involved in the writing of the songs and the lyrics as well. "I want to share it with my fans soon."

The singer, who is originally from San Francisco, launched a fashion line called Blanc & Eclare in 2014 and will star in a Chinese romantic-comedy called Love Delivery later this year.

Evidently, this is going to be a very busy 2016 for Jessica.
