John Mayer – 2013 Must-See Concerts

The fact that John Mayer is touring again is an event all its own, since he has been absent from the road for so long.

The newly-single singer-songwriter has been sidelined from performing for three years, thanks to throat issues, Botox injections and a long healing process.

Now that he's recovered, Mayer will embark on his first tour since having had vocal cord surgery. He'll be hitting the road with neo folker / 'American Idol' Season 11 winner Phillip Phillips in tow.

It's been too long since we heard that voice, which is reason enough to go and see him strap it on -- we mean his guitar -- and pull up to a mic to croon.

Mayer's making up for lost time, as the tour runs nearly three months, setting sail on July 6 and wrapping in early Oct. 2013.
