Kid Rappers Snacking Up Views with ‘Hot Cheetos & Takis’ Viral Video
Kids do the darnest things. For the school-aged rap group Y.N. Rich Kids, they have created a viral hit with their video 'Hot Cheetos and Takis.' The song is the collective's junk-food anthem for their favorite corner-store snack.
The clip has garnered over 700,000 views (and counting) on YouTube since its release on Aug. 6. In the video, the rap young'uns are spitting infectious rhymes about Cheetos and Takis that leaves their "hands red like Elmo."
"Pull up to the studio 'cause you know that the kid be meltin' them microphones," raps Dame Jones. "Munchin' on my Takis like I just don't care / Then I walked up to your girl and she asking me to share, bow!"
The song also boasts an infectious chorus that goes, "Hot Cheetos and Takis, hot Cheetos and Takis / I can't get enough of them hot Cheetos and Takis got my fingers stained red and I cannot get 'em off me / You can catch me and my crew eating hot Cheetos and Takis."
Y.N. Rich Kids video is certainly giving Cheetos and Takis a big promotional boost for their teen demographics. We wonder if the two snack food companies will compensate the children for highlighting their brands in the video -- maybe reward them in backpacks and school supplies.
When the kids go back to school in September and their teachers asked what they did on their summer vacation, the children can tell them they became YouTube stars. Now how cool is that?
Props to these talented snack-munching children for possessing so much swag and creating a summertime jam that even 2 Chainz would envy. TRU!
