Paula Patton has been granted a temporary restraining order against ex Robin Thicke after alleging a history of domestic violence and outlining fears that Thicke could beat her or the former couple's six-year-old son, Julian, again.

A Los Angeles judge granted the restraining order — which mandates Thicke must stay at least 100 feet away from Patton at all times — on Thursday (January 27), a day after Patton filed the documents. People reports Patton fears Thicke could become physical — just weeks ago, on January 13, Patton accused Thicke of excessively spanking Julian.

"[Patton] is in reasonable apprehension of imminent serious bodily injury to herself and the child,” Patton's lawyer, Larry Bakman, wrote.

Patton's documents have alleged several instances of assault. She claims in April 2013 that she caught Thicke engaged in "inappropriate contact" with a masseuse, and that when she confronted him, he broke down a locked door and "became physically violent with me. He pushed me down and kicked me."

And, at the Cannes Film Festival later that year, Patton alleges she and Thicke "began fighting. Robin hit me with a closed fist to my upper body and then pushed me onto the ground."

The incidents have been punctuated by Thicke's drug and alcohol abuse, Patton also alleges.

Still, Thicke's attorney Angela Pierce di Donato insists Pattons claims are unsubstantiated.

"Paula never reported any domestic violence until she was in a position of contempt by violating the custody orders," she told People. "DCFS asked both Paula and Robin to drug test. Robin agreed and submitted to his test, but Paula refused to test...She is attempting to throw anything at him to hurt him, but Robin’s focus is their son."
