Jennifer Lopez in ‘Anaconda’ – Pop Stars in Horror Movies

One month after Jennifer Lopez won over audiences as deceased singer Selena in the 1997 eponymous film, she did a complete 180 with her role in 'Anaconda.' This horror film was far from praised by critics, but it's definitely an entertaining watch if you're into the genre, particularly monster movies.

While filming a documentary on the Amazon, J. Lo and her crew's (consisting of Owen Wilson and Ice Cube, among others) vessel is overtaken by an evil Paraguayan snake wrangler, played by Jon Voight. The crew members are then stalked individually by a 40-foot anaconda whose idea of fun is swallowing up whole bodies and spitting them back up for pure intimidation... or he just didn't care for his entree, "Filet of Angelina Jolie Father," that evening.
