Timbaland – Synthpop + EDM Reinvention
When it comes to writing and producing hits, few men have as much hip-hop cred as Timbaland, the man behind smashes like Aaliyah's 'Are You That Somebody,' Jay-Z's 'Big Pimpin,' Missy Elliott's 'The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)' and Ludacris' 'Roll Out (My Business).'
The producer born Timothy Mosley never rests, though, and when the opportunity arose to work with Justin Timberlake in the early '00s, he jumped at the chance. Their partnership has produced synthtastic gems like 'Summer Love,' 'Cry Me a River,' and 'SexyBack,' and it seemed to get Timbaland's creative juices flowing.
Tim began incorporating more of a dance-pop style in his work with Nelly Furtado and Madonna and his own 'Shock Value' albums, which featured 'The Way I Are' and 'Carry Out.' And he's teaming up with JT again on 'The 20/20 Experience,' so stay tuned for more impressive collaborations.
