Tinie Tempah Freestyles Over Sample from ‘Otis’

Tinie Tempah shows off his freestyle skills in a new video where he raps over a sample from the Jay-Z and Kanye West track, 'Otis.'

Tempah's session was captured by PhillyHeatTv as part of its Monday freestyle series. The British emcee was presented with the Otis Redding sample found on the Kanye/Jay-Z hit, then began spitting rhymes on the spot.

A sample of Tempah's wordplay: "My car's so fast, when I move it give you whiplash / Everything I spit, fresh, Tic Tac," "I only like girls, I'm kinda sexist / My goose grey, cause my taste is expensive / N---- your glass is half empty like a pessimist," and "I live a very wild life, David Attenborough."

Tempah also name-dropped Willow Smith and Kid Cudi during his freestyle. We know Otis Redding's daughter was honored by Jay-Z and Kanye's recording, so we have to wonder how she feels about Tinie's version.

Tempah is currently touring in support of his debut, 'Disc-Overy,' and its hits 'Written in the Stars' and 'Till I'm Gone.' He is set to perform at Lollapalooza in Chicago today, August 5.
