With another new year upon us, it's time to take votes for the best album of 2012. From Taylor Swift's 'Red' to Frank Ocean's 'channel ORANGE,' 2012 was stacked with exceptional new pop albums, but which one has been your favorite?

In 2012, Adam Lambert made history with the release of his sophomore LP 'Trespassing' -- an amazing blend of personal ballads and powerful synthpop tracks -- when he became the first openly gay male artist to have an album debut at No. 1. But can he trump the funky badness that is Bruno Mars' 'Unorthodox Jukebox'? The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter's second studio album has an old-school vibe that mixes rock, R&B, funk, soul, blues, reggae with pop sensibility.

Frank Ocean also had one of the best albums of the year with his critically-acclaimed debut 'channel ORANGE.' On the 2012 LP, the talented songwriter is able to transport listeners deep into his psyche -- from his views on socioeconomic disparities throughout the U.S. to touching reflections on love and loss -- while simultaneously displaying his incredible vocal and production talents.

Fun. also kicked things off in a big way with the Feb. 2012 release of 'Some Nights,' a deceptively upbeat listen, with Nate Ruess crooning about loneliness, family, friendship and life in general over rousing, power pop beats.

Meanwhile, Justin Bieber broke his bubblegum mold with 2012's 'Believe.' The LP moves away from the teen pop sound he became famous for, but it's still packed with a plethora of pop hits -- from R&B slow jams ('Catch My Feelings') and acoustic ballads ('Be Alright') to dancey club songs ('Beauty and a Beat') and intense dubstep tracks ('As Long as You Love Me').

What other standout albums can you vote for best album of 2012? Kendrick Lamar is in the running for his rap masterpiece 'good kid, M.A.A.d. city,' while Kesha is competing with her infectious, rock & rollin', synthpop grooves off of 'Warrior.' Maroon 5's 'Overexposed,' Nicki Minaj's 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded - The Re-Up,' One Direction's 'Take Me Home,' Pink's 'The Truth About Love,' and Rihanna's 'Unapologetic' are also up for the Album of the Year award.

Closing things out are Taylor Swift, who took over the latter half of 2012 with 'Red,' and Usher, who brought some sensuality to summertime with 'Looking 4 Myself.'

'Red' is without a doubt, Swift's most pop friendly album to date, as she gently steps out of the country realm into the world of synthesizers, vocal effects, and rock 'n' roll... and like everything Swift does, she does it well. Same goes for Usher, who released some of his best work ever with 'Looking 4 Myself' -- One second, he's cutting you to the core with tracks like 'Climax,' and the next he's got you dancing uncontrollably to songs like 'Scream' and 'Euphoria.'
