Kree Harrison Sings ‘With a Little Help From My Friends,’ Wows Judges on ‘American Idol’
Kree Harrison has been one of the strongest contestants on Season 12 of ‘American Idol,’ and her performance on tonight’s episode (March 20) was no exception. She delivered a passionate, heartfelt rendition of the Beatles’ ‘With a Little Help From My Friends’ that blew away judges and audience members alike.
'Idol' judge Keith Urban commented on her striking sense of originality, which has surfaced in every single one of her performances so far. “No matter what song you’re doing, you’re Kree, you know?" He went on to say, “You’re just all the cool things about country, is what you are – bluesy and soulful and country – and I don’t think you’re gonna have any trouble getting by easily tonight with a lot of help with your friends in America.”
Harrison clearly won the heart of Nicki Minaj as well. “The choices that you make musically are always the perfect choice for your voice,” expressed Minaj. She also pointed out that she loved her 5-inch heels and diamond belt. “You are the whole entire package,” she said.
“You came out and you blew the vocals out of the water, saying ‘hey guys, whoever’s coming after me, y’all gotta work!’” exclaimed Randy Jackson. Mariah Carey threw in her own enthusiastic words of praise by stating, "I didn’t think it was good. I thought it was fan-freaking-tastic!"
Even host Ryan Seacrest called her "beautiful" and “stunning.” What are your thoughts, America? Does Harrison have what it takes to be the next 'American Idol?'
