Following in the footsteps of former Disney starlets Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus and many more, 'Jessie' star Debby Ryan is embarking upon a serious career in music.

Backed by her new band, Debby and the Never Ending, she is set to release debut album 'One' on June 24, Billboard reports. No more details have yet been released about the project, other than that it will feature nine tracks.

The 20-year-old, who has starred on Disney's 'Jessie' since 2011, previously played Bailey Pickett on the network's 'Suite Life on Deck'. A longtime songwriter, she has released a handful of songs in the past, most notably 2011's 'We Ended Right.' Befitting its title, 'One' will be her first-ever full-length, though.

"This album doesn't exist because I wanted to make an album," Debby says. "It probably exists in spite of myself. I've been telling other people's stories as an actor, and there's a comfort for me in that. But I started getting this insatiable need to tell stories from inside my own head, speak from my own heart."

She sounds excited to take on this latest challenge, saying the album helped her to find her voice.

"It's happy, it's fun, it's lovestruck, and stubborn; it's broken, bruised, and healing," Debby says. "It's my tongue-in-cheek, chip-on-my-shoulder, one-foot-in-front-of-the-other glass house. It's being teenage, becoming twenty one, surviving life with the best dudes I know, and out of our things that are never ending, this is number one."
