Elton John and Matthew Morrison have gotten to be good friends -- the 'Tiny Dancer' singer and 'Glee' star recently did a duet together -- and they may be seeing more of one another soon. John is now in talks with 'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy about making a cameo appearance on the show.

Morrison confirmed Sunday that the legendary singer-songwriter could make his 'Glee' debut in the coming months. “He and Ryan Murphy just sat down and had a conversation about it,” Morrison says, who plays glee club coach Will Schuester. “I hope that [happens. It] would be awesome!”

Jane Lynch, who portrays devilish no-gooder Sue Sylvester, echoed the news at the 19th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party. She even revealed that that she encouraged Elton to sign the deal. "I did. I said, 'You should be on it!' And he said he and Ryan [Murphy, 'Glee's' co-creator] just had coffee or something and they talked about that, so that would be really fun."

Now that the 'Glee' cast is all pumped up about a possible cameo, it'd be a shame not to let something so natural happen. Afterall, John has said that he "loves" 'Glee' -- and clearly they would welcome him into the family with open arms.

John and Morrison hit the recording studio just last month, where they did duets of 'Mona Lisas and Madhatters' and 'Rocket Man' -- due out this spring. Morrison debuted his new single, 'Summer Rain,' on yesterday's edition of On-Air with Ryan Seacrest.
