Hot Chelle Rae Perform Acoustic Cut of ‘I Like It Like That’ on ‘Buzzworthy Live’

As Hot Chelle Rae prep for an extensive tour starting in February, the guys showed off their live chops with an acoustic rendition of their latest single, 'I Like It Like That.'

The absence of electric did not rob the song of any of its infectious power. Nash Overstreet and Ian Keaggy strummed their acoustic guitars and Jamie Follese banged on his stool for percussion as Ryan Follese sang the chorus, "I like it like that / Hey, windows down, chillin’ with the radio on / I like it like that / Damn, sun’s so hot, make the girls take it all off  / I like it like that, yeah one more time, I can never get enough / So everybody sing it right back / I like it like that.”

The line about "thanking the Academy" took on new meaning, given the band's recent upset win for New Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards. Without the New Boyz present, the band skipped over their featured verse, so there are no lyrics here about Miley Cyrus and the hookah bar.

Hot Chelle Rae's new album 'Whatever' is charting now. Their U.S. tour kicks off Feb. 10, and they're also performing on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve on Dec. 31.
