Jason Derulo's new song 'That's My Shhh,' a sexy slow jam from his next album 'Future History,' sounds a bit like R. Kelly's 'Trapped in the Closet' without all the guns and infidelity.

Derulo's song may not be an intentional homage to Kelly's epic music and video series, but it's somewhat similar stylistically, with piano, dramatic strings and vocals that sound a lot like Kelly.

Derulo even borrows the lyrical counting technique seen in Kelly's 'Trapped' series when he sings, "One, I can barely calm it down / Two, grabbing on your head, turn the thing around / Three, that's my shhh, that's my shhh, that's my shhh."

Derulo gets right to business, singing, "Pulled your shirt to the left and kissed that one / Pulled your shirt to the right, how did I miss that one / I really want it, but I love it that you're teasing it / Once I start, I ain't gon' stop until I'm pleasing it / Almost time to come up out them jeans, you know exactly what I mean."

We're not sure if Derulo is entirely convincing in this role, but we appreciate the singer trying something much different than 'Don't Wanna Go Home' and 'It Girl.' 'Future History' arrives in stores on Sept. 27.
