The American Music Awards are giving the honor of opening the 2011 broadcast to David Guetta and Nicki Minaj, Dick Clark Productions announced in a press release.

Guetta and Minaj teamed up this year for 'Where Them Girls At,' a Top 20 hit from Guetta's album 'Nothing But the Beat.' The track also featured rapper Flo Rida, who has so far not been added to the performance lineup. Minaj is also featured on 'Turn Me On,' a second track on Guetta's record.

Minaj is nominated for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist and Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album for 'Pink Friday.' Guetta does not have any nominations, though if the AMAs had a dance category, you can bet he would be a contender.

Guetta and Minaj join previously announced performers Christina Aguilera, Marc Anthony, Justin Bieber, Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown, Kelly Clarkson, LMFAO, Katy Perry, Pitbull and Maroon 5. The 2011 American Music Awards air on ABC on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 8 pm EST. Fans can vote for the winners until midnight tonight, Nov. 11, at the show's website. Adele is the top nominee with four nods.
