Flo Rida - Page 6
For a few years, Paris Hilton was at the forefront of pop culture, and no one really knew why (aside from that pesky sex tape, which also seemed to work well for her BFF-turned-frenemy Kim Kardashian).
She was lanky, rich and had no discernible talent. At her pinnacle, she released an album and an admittedly catchy but much-ignored single, 'Stars Are Blind.' Then she fell off the radar for a while.
Rapper Flo Rida brought his addictive urban energy to the stage on the season finale of 'The Voice' this evening, May 8. He performed a medley of 'Whistle,' which was the live performance debut of the song, as well as the hit 'Wild Ones,' with rocker and Team Cee Lo finalist Juliet Simms. It was a live, onstage collision of rap and rock that was completely and utterly believable.
Legal officials in Australia are so determined to make sure that Flo Rida pays for damages he caused for not showing up at a festival, they hit him with a summons via Facebook. According to the Daily Telegraph, the country's District Court allowed a promoter to subpoena the Miami rapper by way of social media. Isn't technology awesome?
While 'Good Feeling' and his Sia-assisted second single 'Wild Ones' are still dominating charts the world over, Flo Rida is showing no signs of slowing down. The 32-year old MC has just released 'Whistle,' the third single from his fourth album, 'Only One Rida (Part 2),' which is due in stores this July.
We have a good feeling that Flo Rida is not going to like this.
On Friday (April 13), an Australian judge ordered the Miami rapper to pay $80,000 in performance and damage fees for not showing up at the country's Fat as Butter music festival in October. According to the New York Post, if Flo Rida doesn't cough up the money his assets in Australia will be frozen.
