'X Factor' wannabe Melanie Amaro said she would rather singer than speak. The Sunrise, Fla. native selected Beyonce's 'Listen' for her 'X Factor' audition. The college freshman, who is all of 18-years-old, was not flashy, nor was she ultra glam. But the girl could sing her butt off, and that's just what she did. No frills. No tricks. She delivered a showstopping performance and got a standing ovation from the judges' table. So yes, she's moving on in the competition for a cool $5 million.
Nicole Scherzinger was initially rumored to be the host of 'X Factor' but quickly filled the judge's seat vacated by Cheryl Cole. It was "Cherylgate" and caused a lot of drama, especially since Cole was a hit on the British version of the show and fell out with Simon Cowell over her dismissal from the US edition.

Before hitting the stage inside, the 33-year-old Hawaiian beauty took some time to speak with 102.7 KIIS FM (via Rap-Up). She talked about her upcoming album, saying that the US version of 'Killer Love' will be released some time this fall (instead of August as it was originally scheduled). She also spoke about how much she loves being involved with 'X Factor,' which makes its US debut on Sept. 21.
