Before taking the stage on 'The Voice' tonight (April 23), the lovable Pip told Christina Milian he hoped his fans -- who affectionately named themselves the Pipsters -- would forgive him for not sporting his signature bow tie this week. Without his colorful cravat, Pip followed coach Adam Levine's advice to show the audience another side of himself. Leaving his more theatrical feel behind, the 19-year-old Georgian went a little indie with Keane's 'Somewhere Only We Know.'
Sadly, what they say may actually be true -- nice guys finish last. Pip was respectable in his attempt to show his "edgy rocker" side on Monday's episode of 'The Voice,' delivering a grittier-than-normal number in the Killers' 'When You Were Young.' But at the end of the day, even the judges agree that he's still a kid named Pip with a bowtie addiction and raging dimples.
Pip, 19 and from Marietta, Ga., has a stylin' and profilin' look. Suspenders? Check. Bowtie? Check. Tangerine-colored Converse sneakers? Check. He also resembles NKOTB singer Joey McIntyre. Well, all that visual jazz doesn't matter during the blind auditions of 'The Voice,' since this round is about the voice and the voice only, as the coaches can't see the performers. So does Pip have a voice worth listening to? Oh, yeah, he sure does.
