The blind auditions continued on tonight’s episode of ‘The Voice’ (April 2), and although some of the coaches didn’t get their way, at least none of them ended the night empty-handed.

Judges Usher, Shakira, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton each gained two new additions to their teams tonight, but all in all, the performances were a bit lacking. But the blind auditions aren’t over yet; maybe next week’s round of auditions will be a little more invigorating.

In the meantime, here’s how the coaches’ teams are stacking up so far:

TEAM USHER:

Audrey Karrasch: This starlet went to New York to pursue a career in modeling, but soon discovered that music was her true passion She delivered a high-energy rendition of Jessie J’s ‘Price Tag,’ causing Shelton to turn his chair, followed by Usher. Shelton commented he liked her “attack” at the beginning of the song. However, Karrasch breezed past Shelton’s heartfelt words of praise and said, “Okay, Usher. Let’s do it!” Ouch.

Orlando Dixon: He sang Ne-Yo’s ‘So Sick,’ causing Usher to hit his buzzer at the very last second. Dixon was beyond touched that Usher turned around for him. “I just wanna learn so much from you," he gushed. "This is my idol right here, seriously.” Usher praised him for having a great tone but was quick to add, “I’m gonna push you more, though.”

TEAM SHAKIRA:

Brandon Roush: This driven and compassionate Louisville, Ky. native jams out with his band the Dirty Grindstones when he’s not working with autistic children. He sang the Beatles’ ‘With a Little Help From My Friends’ and had Usher and Levine rocking out in their seats. Shakira was the only one to turn around, though, so Roush wound up on her team by default. “Oh my god, that is not what you’re supposed to look like!” exclaimed Shelton when he finally saw the face behind the voice. “I didn’t expect a white dude with long hair standing up there, I can tell you that!”

C. Perkins: He joined Shak’s team tonight after belting out a soulful version of ‘Because of You.’ “We’re gonna work so well together, they’re gonna want to steal you,” Shakira said with confidence, pointing to her fellow coaches.

TEAM ADAM:

Patrick Dodd: His delivery of ‘Walking in Memphis’ prompted both Shakira and Levine to hit their buzzers, but he ultimately chose Team Adam. Read more about his performance here.

Agina Alvarez: Back for her second shot at making it on ‘The Voice,’ she took a risk by singing Shakira and Beyonce’s hit tune, ‘Beautiful Liar.’ She ultimately landed on Team Adam. “We’re gonna do great things. You’re a great singer,” he assured her. “You deserve to be here.”

TEAM BLAKE:

Trevor Davis: This aspiring pop artist sang Andy Grammer’s ‘Keep Your Head Up’ and impressed Shelton. “I love that you started taking chances by the end of the song. Welcome to Team Blake!” he exclaimed.

Savannah Berry: Her rendition of Taylor Swift’s ‘Safe and Sound’ was easily the best performance of the night, and you can read about it here.

And now, for the disappointing news. Unfortunately, none of the coaches turned around for Betsy Barta. Barta likened her experience on ‘The Voice’ to her day job of performing on the streets of Minneapolis. It’s all about “trying to get someone to care enough to give you the time of day,” she said. But the song she chose – Adele’s ‘Set Fire to the Rain’ – was just too big for her, and all four judges decided to pass. She received a hug from Levine as a consolation prize, though. Ginette Claudette and Chris Johnson also failed to get any chairs to turn.

Be sure to tune in to ‘The Voice’ next Monday (April 8) as the blind auditions continue!
