Aaliyah may be gone, but she certainly has not been forgotten. It's been 11 years since her untimely death, but now there's news that a posthumous album is in the works featuring unreleased material from the late songbird.

According to producer Jeffrey "J. Dub" Walker, who previously worked on Aaliyah's final album, a song he produced for her will appear on the project. "Just got great news today; the smash unreleased song called 'Steady Ground' I produced on #Aaliyah is gonna be on her upcoming album," he wrote on Twitter, which he deleted from his timeline.

No explanation on why J. Dub took down his tweet, but it looks like he may have let the cat out of the bag early, so to speak. As for the album we don't know what to expect, but this is good news for her adorning fans.

The piano-driven ballad 'Steady Ground' is an outdated song that also features Aaliyah's songwriting partner, the late Static Major. On the track, Aaliyah yearns for the touch and comfort of an ex-lover.

Hopefully, this album will feature some great songs that will add to Aaliyah's enduring musical legacy.
