Audrina Patridge’s late niece Sadie’s cause of death was reportedly a drug overdose.

The Hills star Audrina, 38, announced in February 15-year-old Sadie had died and TMZ has now reported police sources have said it was due to drugs.

It added: “Law enforcement sources tell us Sadie’s death has officially been ruled a narcotic overdose.

“However, they’ve not yet determined the manner of death as there’s currently an investigation for possible criminal charges.”

TMZ said cops wanted to “figure out how Sadie was able to obtain the drugs."

It added: “One source tells us Sadie was able to buy Percocet through Snapchat, and it was laced with fentanyl.”

Audrina paid tribute to Sadie in February with a 10-slide carousel of images on Instagram of the little girl, along with the message: “My heart hurts to even write this. My beautiful niece is now in heaven.

“I know it’s not goodbye forever, but it is the hardest to say goodbye for now. “We will miss you and cherish every single moment we had with you. Rest in peace Say Say!! We love you forever and ever!"

Neither Audrina nor her sister and fellow Hills star Casey Loza, 37, shared Sadie’s cause of death at the time.

Casey told her own Instagram followers her daughter’s “story will save countless lives”.

Sadie turned 15 just days before she died, and Casey said on Instagram about her girl’s shock passing: “Sadie Raine Loza has left this Earth for the heavens. Writing this was the hardest thing I ever have had to do, not knowing the right words I’ll leave you with this, Sadie liked to remind me that the first law of thermodynamics aka (Law of Conservation of Energy) works in all spheres of life… energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another.

“Transformation is a better word than death. Her story will save countless lives, her memory will never be forgotten.

“Rest In Peace you brilliant starseed. You’re with your creator. We will miss you dearly. I love you.”
